Counselling
Invest in yourself…
About Me
I have more then a decade of experience working in different areas of mental health and substance use treatment. I am familiar with several types of therapy and integrate my approach to find the best fit for my clients.
Honesty and empathy are the foundations of my approach. I work towards establishing a safe and compassionate space to help deal with the challenges of life. I’m committed to supporting all people including people experiencing barriers to healthcare, including BIPOC, 2SLGTBQIA+, and neurodiverse people..
What can counselling help with?
Counselling is an investment in yourself. We all suffer from harmful experiences in our life. Finding ways to live a more peaceful life, to find more confidence, and feel more joy can be found through counselling.
If you are experiencing anxiety or depression, suffer from trauma or adverse life experiences, chronic stress, addictions, grief and loss, anger, the stress of life transitions, counselling can be helpful to relieve or manage the emotional pain of these experiences. If you’re looking to create more meaning in your life, understand yourself better, or make your relationships better, counselling can be helpful for you.
My Therapy Approach
My approach to therapy is unique to the problems, strengths, and experiences of each individual person. My approach is based on increasing our awareness of sensations in the body and gaining insight into the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. I use an integrative approach that draws from the following theories and evidence-based modalities while valuing honesty, humour, and a collaborate search for change above any theory or modality.
